This letter is to advise all concerned that as of September 1st, 1962, the Piper Aircraft Corporation considers the following aircraft models obsolete inasmuch as they have been out of production for at least seven years.

Recommended parts for reinforcing the landing gear on all of the PA-12 airplanes in the field.

Field approvals for Piper PA-14 engines not listed in the CAA specifications.

Modifying applicable aircraft to incorporate the new heavier type clevises currently used in the PA-18 "125" airplanes.

Examine the two flexible fuel lines to determine whether the hose inner liner has collapsed or failed thus causing a restriction to the flow of fuel.

Failure of a fuel pump pressure line, due to chafing on the nose cowl has resulted in a change in the routing of the fuel pump lines.

Inspect all seaplanes to determine if the bulkhead reinforcements of Luscombe Drawing 48701 are presently installed at fuselage Station 4.

The Continental engines currently used in Ercoupes are furnished, in some cases, with the S.A.E. No. 1 flanged propeller mount. The transition from the tapered shaft to the flange shaft will not be applicable to any specific serial number of Ercoupe, or date.
